Password Vaults and Master Keys
Moving beyond the 'One Password' habit to secure your entire digital life.
THE RISK
Most people use the same password for 10 or more sites. If one of those sites is hacked, every other account you own is now vulnerable.
THE SOLUTION
1. Use a Manager: Bitwarden, 1Password, or Apple Keychain are essential. They generate and store 20-character random passwords for every site.
2. The 4-Word Passphrase: For your 'Master Password,' use four random words (e.g., 'CorrectHorseBatteryStaple'). This is nearly impossible for a computer to crack but easy for you to remember.
3. App-Based 2FA: Move away from SMS (text) codes. Use an Authenticator App, which cannot be intercepted by 'SIM Swapping' scammers.
